Visa application is a three step process. The first step is to collect these documents and return them to the Office of International and Exchange Programs. The exchange office at Beijing University of Technology will use these documents to seek a government issued invitation for you which will then become one item in another packet of materials you will need to assemble and present to the Chinese Embassy in New York City. The final result will be a visa "sticker" affixed into your US passport and returned to you by mail.
